My second hat! By far my most favorite! I like the idea that the hat is monochromatic! I'll definately do one all black to add some more sophistication!
This hat is reminiscent of the cloche hat worn in the 1920's. Typically, the hats in the past were made out of colored felt.
My fleece hat works well for the winter season! It's also stretchy, so the hat fits snug against the head!
This hat on the right is similar to the one above. I added a different detail to it. I particularly like this effect because the grey flower kind of mimics the material of the hat. It's also smaller in scale which adds interest. I plan to make several different sizes from new born to age 8. Now, I just need to research sizing and dimensions!
HATS! HATS! HATS! I made a toddler's fleece toque! This is my new found craft that took me an hour to make. It's really more simple than it looks. I plan on pumping these hats out like a maniac in time for the East Side Culture Crawl. They are great for the holiday season! The best part of making this was choosing the fabric! I love the paisley and pastel colors in this piece! I plan on making scarves, too! Stay tuned for updates!
